Chris is a Lead Principal Security Engineer on Oracle’s Security Evaluations team, where he supports global security evaluations and helps shape the cryptographic strategy for Oracle products and cloud services serving U.S. and Canadian government customers. With more than 25 years of experience in FIPS 140 security evaluations, he has worked on both the laboratory and vendor sides, testing cryptographic modules for compliance. Of note, he also led FIPS 140 testing activities for the first validation of the OpenSSL FIPS Object Module in 2004. Chris serves on Oracle’s Crypto Review Board, which establishes policy for approved cryptographic libraries, ciphers, and protocols for use within Oracle.
