Post-Quantum Cryptography: Why Moving Too Fast Can Be as Risky as Moving Too Slowly
Governments around the world are urging organizations to accelerate their transition to post-quantum cryptography. But in practice, the transition is far from straightforward. It comes with complex dependencies, difficult technology choices and new challenges associated with implementing post-quantum algorithms themselves. As a result, calls for rapid migration may prove overly optimistic and could, if not carefully managed, introduce new risks.
This session takes a practical look at the realities of transitioning to post-quantum cryptography. It explores the obstacles organizations face, and the choices that need to be made. At the same time, it examines the opportunities presented by the current state of the industry and how organizations can navigate the transition without rushing into decisions they may later regret.

Marcel excels in the domains of computer and network security. At Securosys, he leads product development and oversees the delivery of secure digital infrastructure solutions, especially in HSM (Hardware Security Module) technology and post quantum cryptographic readiness. Marcel is known for steering the design and commercialization of secure, integrated products across diverse sectors.
